My wife Joan and I live on a lifestyle block adjacent
to the lake in the well known tourist destination of Rotorua.
Apart from art and crafts my interests include swimming, gardening
and walking.
I have been painting landscapes for over 20 years and in a full
time capacity since 1994. The scenic nature of the area in which
we live, with over a dozen lakes and numerous rivers and streams,
provides constant inspiration and has enabled the development
of techniques to feature water effects in all their variety. I
take part in regular exhibitions and my work hangs in numerous
private collections throughout New Zealand and overseas including
Australia, America, the United Kingdom and Europe.
My wife is active in handcrafts and has her own website www.kingcrafts.co.nz
She also organises and runs the local arts and crafts fair in
Rotorua on the last Sunday of each month.
